On June 29 & 30, 2019, SABIA celebrated its annual book festival, Kitab Utsav (2.0) by organising a book sale fundraiser across 3 cities of India. Games and food were also added elements to this extravaganza of books which made it even more fun and interesting for the general public. The event was brought to fruition by the efforts of a team of over twenty volunteers working towards raising a target amount of fifty thousand rupees.
It makes us extremely proud to announce that the target was easily crossed and all the proceeds from the sale will now be utilised towards setting up twenty-five new libraries across India. We also wish to convey our heartfelt gratitude to our logistics partner Delhivery Pvt. Ltd for sending the books across and our team which made it all possible by giving their time and sincerity to the cause.
This fundraiser marks the beginning of our new project Mission Hundred through which Team SABIA is aiming to set up a hundred libraries across India, especially in the remote, rural and hilly villages.
We call upon you to join us as volunteers for the mission and help us find such schools and people who can contribute towards its success. Because at SABIA we believe that #UnitedWeCan.
